Alfred A. Sison, MA, LMFT, PsyD; "Dr. Al" is a licensed clinical psychologist with a subspeciality license in marriage and family therapy.  He services individuals, couples, and familes through the therapeutic process, and maintains a private practice in Honolulu, HI. 

Among his areas of expertise and experience have included the following mental health service populations;  Adult Development (i.e. Career, Relationship Dynamics and Analysis, Identity), Chronic and Serious Mental Illness, Child Sexual Abuse Treatment - offenders, victims, and non-offending family members, Domestic Violence - offenders and victims,  HI DOE School Based Behavioral Health Treatment for children and adolescents, Forensics, Health Psychology, Trauma, US Military veterans and active duty, and the Diverse and Marginalized populations in Hawaii.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Al works as a Behavioral Health Psychologist in a military primary health care setting, provides mental health evaluation and assessment services for Hawaii State government programs, and is an Adjunct Professor at Argosy University - Honolulu. 
 
Dr. Al is a practical, interactive, client centered/solution-focused therapist. His treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. He incorporates a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, he works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

Dr. Al enjoys surfing, golf, chess, music, and spending time with his family during his free time.
